Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix this dry mixture into the wet mixture.
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed, saving a few to sprinkle on top if desired.
Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Pour the batter in and spread evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Let cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and enjoy!
